Admittedly...it's nice to have Kyle Farnsworth playing for the Tigers

But are you telling me the Cubs couldn't use him right now?

We went to Vegas...and somehow ended up in Germany

Bruce Weber from Illinois is a classy guy...as evidenced by this letter he wrote to the Lansing State Journal

Foe praises MSU

On behalf of the University of Illinois basketball program, I would like to thank the Michigan State Spartan basketball fans who attended the NCAA Final Four in St. Louis for the support they showed our team during the national semifinal game against Louisville. The sportsmanship was outstanding!

Coach Tom Izzo is a class act, and the Spartan fans showed the same class as their coach. It was a great way to demonstrate to the nation that those of us in the Big Ten have a lot of pride in the conference and its student-athletes.

I also would like to congratulate Izzo and his basketball team on a great season and outstanding run during the NCAA Tournament. It was evident the Spartans belonged among the nation's elite this year.

Back from Vegas...things are still a tad on the topsy turvy side around Chicago.

I'll get the few pictures I took with something other than a cell phone posted sometime tomorrow.

In the meantime, I've read this particular article by Mitch Albom several times now...and find that it pretty much speaks to exactly where I'm at right now.
